Frequently Asked Questions
Are the adult classes beginner or advanced?
For classes called, Open, class material will be modified as needed to cater to the needs of the dancers in attendance. They will focus on strengthening the core, gaining flexibility, and working on proper body alignment in a safe and fun way. We will also be developing the mind-body connection through learning and memorizing routines performed throughout the class. But don’t worry if you can’t remember the teacher will always be there as a guide!
Classes that are differentiated as Beginning-Intermediate (Beg.-Int.), Intermediate-Advanced (Int.-Adv.) or Advanced-Professional (Pro.) are geared towards the levels listed.
Is there a dress code for adults?
No, there is no dress code for adults. We encourage you to wear what makes you feel best as long as you can easily move in it!
Can I take a trial class?
Yes, your first class is on us! If you enjoy the class, we have several pricing options and packages for you to choose from to maximize your fitness experience.
How much do classes cost?
We offer single 1-hour drop-in classes for $20, a 10-class package for $100, and a 20-class package for $180. Classes that run for 90 minutes will be credited as 2 classes.
Does my class package have an expiration?
Your class package does not have an expiration date, so you can come and dance at your convenience!
Do you offer any discounted rates for students?
We offer classes for $12 per 1-hour class for current SPAA students and SPAA alumni.
Do you have to have previous dance experience?
No, anyone can come take the class! Students with previous experience are welcome, but is not necessary. The teacher will go over all information and exercises so that the students feel comfortable and safe while dancing.
